Killing Patient Zero wins AHA award

Killing Patient Zero, the 2019 documentary feature film based on Richard McKay’s 2017 book and previous research, and for which he served as a historical consultant, was awarded the American Historical Association’s 2020 John E. O’Connor Award for outstanding interpretations of history through film. The award is given each year to one documentary and one dramatic feature film - Killing Patient Zero won in the documentary category.
